No. You have to pay vat on goods and services unless they are zero rated or exempted.

VAT will not be assessed if the vendor is below the threshold or sells exempt goods.

No, you cannot buy goods without paying VAT in the UAE. VAT is a tax on the consumption or use of goods and services, and it is levied at a standard rate of 5% on most goods and services in the UAE. When you purchase goods or services in the UAE, the VAT is automatically included in the price and is paid by the consumer at the point of sale. There are some goods and services that are zero-rated or exempt from VAT, but for most purchases, VAT is charged and must be paid by the consumer.

No. You must pay the full, VAT-inclusive price for the goods in the shop.

You can claim VAT once you have complied with the formalities and show proof of export.

In general, VAT is applied to the purchase of goods and services in most countries, including Dubai. However, there may be certain scenarios or exemptions where VAT is not applicable or where you can purchase goods without paying VAT. For example, some goods and services may be zero-rated or exempt from VAT. It is advisable to check with the seller or retailer to understand the specific VAT implications for the goods you wish to purchase and any applicable exemptions or zero-rated categories that may be relevant.
